The palazzo Stella of Genoa hosted until June 24 the work of the partner Consuelo Hernández titled Café Central, which has been awarded the prize “Artista premiata”, among the almost 300 finalists selected for the exhibition exhibition of the 2nd Biennale di Genova, Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte Contemporanea.
This is the 2nd prize given to Consuelo Hernández in Italy since 2016, who has been invited on several occasions to participate in different exhibition events organized by the prestigious art gallery Satura Art Gallery.
For the creation of the painting Café Central, made in oil on a table, the artist was inspired by the emblematic Central Cafe of Madrid, integrating in the image of the showcase the reflections of the external reality and of the interior reality itself, thus creating a neo -a very characteristic feature of the series composed during the years 2015 and 2016 dedicated to emblematic cafes of the capital, places that have been a meeting point for artists, writers and intellectuals of the time since the end of the 19th century.
The Biennale of Genoa has become an artistic event of great magnitude, collected in the media under holders of the type “Almost 300 artists invade the city of Genoa”. The exhibit of the Biennial, sponsored by the Region of Liguria, Comune of Genoa, the metropolitan city of Genoa and the Chamber of Commerce, is located in 11 exhibition venues: Palazzo Stella, Palazzo della Borsa, Galata Museo del Mare, ‘Architettura e Design dell’Universita of Genoa, Palazzo Doria Spinola, Museum of the Liguistic Academy of Fine Arts, Palazzo Nicolosio Lomellino, Galliera Ferrari’s Palace, Museum Library dell’Attore and Mura de Malapaga.
The itinerant inauguration, which took place last June 10, was animated by a series of collateral events, music, dance, dance and theater shows.
There were a great influx of people, more than a thousand participants, and means.
