On Saturday, May 25, 2019, the XXI Nicole Nomblot Rapid Painting Contest was held in the town of El Romeral in Toledo, where the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors collaborated with the award of a Diploma Prize. Medal.
This year could not be less and the appointment was attended by the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, who was part of the jury for the occasion, together with Javier Rubio Nomblot, art critic and curator, Manuel Barbero, and the painters Rosa Gallego and Carmen Espinosa.
The cool and humid morning began with the choice of scenarios that would be the motifs portrayed, and that were very imaginative and peculiarly significant and recognizable to all the inhabitants of El Romeral, a town that struggles to keep its traditions and customs alive and boasts of celebrate one of the most famous pictorial competitions, thanks to which they have already managed to form an important art collection.
The organization of the event responded to the needs and doubts raised by the artists and was publicly recognized for their willingness to maintain initial expectations.
At five o’clock in the afternoon all the participants met at the House of Culture, whose shaded courtyard hosted the exhibition of the works of all artists, being visited and very popular by the villagers, who were also able to exercise their right to vote in the popular voting category.
After the deliberation of the Jury, the award ceremony was announced and verified, which turned out to be as follows:
First Prize, endowed with 800 euros to the work of Pablo Rubén López Sanz.
The second prize, worth 400 euros went to Richard García Rodríguez.
The Third Prize of popular voting, endowed with 300 euros, was for a work by Orencio Murillo Medina.
The Prize of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors endowed with medal and diploma, fell on the work of Diego Lope González Juárez.
