Maxam Foundation, official sponsor of the Salon d’Automne 83

The Maxam Foundation has 17 years and sponsoring the Salon d’Automne that summons the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors and betting on a call in their latest editions are reaching very relevant figures thanks to the enormous prestige of the jury members convened for that purpose and above all, thanks to the high quality of the works presented, which have formed a pioneering and leading exhibitions in the Spanish art scene and is marking a calendar of November in recent years.

The MAXAM Foundation is a non-profit, which channels the patronage of MAXAM activities in the field of culture and especially in painting. The Maxam Collection traces its beginnings to 1899, twenty seven years after the founding of the company. The purpose of these acquisitions was primarily advertising: promote the products of the company through a sign used as a calendar.

For these calendars always the same process was used: commission a prestigious painter, recognized by the public and critics, a work made specifically for the company, in order to be reproduced as almanac. Well over a hundred years that has formed a unique collection by its concept, theme and style, and have great names of Spanish painting of the XX and XXI centuries as Rafael Canogar, Eduardo Arroyo or Isabel Quintanilla have passed, among others.
