Inaugurated the exhibition of the Baluarte Sala Awards 84 Fall Salon 2017

The exhibition opens its doors from October 5 to November 18

The Baluarte Room opened its doors on October 5 to the exhibition of the painters Mariana Álvarez Enrique, Inés San Miguel González, Oliva Belinchón Casado and Margarita Gámez Cornejo, winners of the Sala Baluarte Prize, awarded by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors ( AEPE) in the 84 Madrid Autumn Salon. The award consisted of an exhibition of his artistic proposals in the prestigious Baluarte Room of Tres Cantos, with free admission.

The inauguration was attended, in addition to the artists, by the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, the General Secretary of the centenary entity, Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, as well as other members of the Board of Directors. The event was attended by the Mayor of Tres Cantos, Jesús Moreno, accompanied by the Councilor for Culture, Elisa Lida Miguel and the Director of the Baluarte Room, Teresa Ramos Grosso, who said they were “delighted to be able to present for the second consecutive year the sample of the “Sala Baluarte” Awards, which this year have fallen to four women “.

The Autumn Salon of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, is the event that marks the artistic trend of the city of Madrid. It is also the oldest and most prestigious artistic call of those held in Spain and in the words of José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE, “at the Salon de Otoño there are institutions such as the City Council of Tres Cantos, through its prestigious Sala Baluarte, because they understand that it is a contest in which the quality of the selected and awarded works, proves an expository proposal like the one that forms the magnificent sample that we inaugurated “.

For their part, the artists thanked the municipal officials for their work in support of the art they are doing and wanted to recognize the efforts made by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors every day, for maintaining prestigious activities such as the Autumn Salon or the Queen Sofia Award, next to be called too.

Mariana Álvarez Enrique

Mariana’s work has a strong social content. He talks to us about difficult lives, and he wants us to look at them, so we do not miss out. It forces us to look, but without acrimony (hardness) In fact, and although it is showing us the misery and the scarcity, it always leaves a door open to beauty.

His paintings are a portrait of human diversity and everyday life. This is appreciated in their naturalness: they are a reflection of the day to day. In them, the people themselves speak, tell their story, happy many times, despite their poverty.

Inés San Miguel González

the work of Inés San Miguel González is of an abstract dye in which soft colors and firm and studied strokes predominate and where there are always references to people whose expressiveness, together with the very conception of the work, never leaves the viewer indifferent.

Olive Belinchón Married

The works of Oliva Belinchón present a multiple vision of the receiver, that is, they simulate the multiplicity of looks at the same time and from different angles on the part of the receiver. However, often the abstract is barely perceptible and other times, on the other hand, it is more complete and remarkable because his works do not seek perfection in representation and refuse to reflect the outside world.

Margarita Gámez Cornejo

Margarita Gámez has used any pretext to make plastic. For that reason in its trajectory they can exist landscapes, personages, bodegones, heads, etc. The result is your look at the world, your unique response. Your opinion with soul, what is expressionism? In the painting of Margarita Gámez there are no formulas, there is life. Degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University, she was awarded a scholarship by the Landscape Chair in Segovia.
