AEPE receives the UNESCO Melilla prize

The Direction of the UNESCO Melilla International Contemporary Art and Cultural Tourism Exhibition will be delivered next Monday, May 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. of the award granted by UNESCO to José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, for his cooperation in the success and development of the same, underlining the involvement of the centenary entity and the commitment to the artistic and cultural fabric.

The award commends the importance of cultural diversity for the full realization of human rights and fundamental freedoms proclaimed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other universally recognized instruments, as well as the need to incorporate culture as a strategic element to policies of national and international development.

The President of the AEPE, who will receive the award from Mohamed Diouri Benyelun, Director of the Exhibition, expressly moved from the autonomous city to deliver it, wants to extend this award to all members and friends of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors and especially invites all those who want to celebrate, to the emotional act that will take place at the headquarters located on Calle Infantas, 30 in Madrid.
