A great opportunity to make visible a group endowed with extraordinary sensitivity.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition, which will remain open until November 26, will be attended by different personalities from the world of arts and letters, as well as sponsors and members of the Jury, who will deliver the awards.
It is noteworthy the enormous effort being made by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors to make the traditional Salon of Autumn a benchmark in Spanish artistic life, and as José Gabriel Astudillo comments, “for our institution has been a great triumph to achieve such a high level of participation and with such quality, and it has been a great success, and a remarkable achievement, to achieve such a reliable decision guaranteed by a jury composed of such important and representative figures from the art world in Spain. ”
“The Salón de Otoño is a call to which artists come running away from selfishness, immodesty and adulation, because it is a unique artistic manifestation because it is of a breadth of judgment, a nobility and a lack of interest that, will not hit understand the majority of the public and even the artists themselves, “says Astudillo, as” it is not a matter of winning an economic prize, it is a reward that every artist seeks, for the pleasure of enjoying one of his prestigious awards. ”
As Astudillo assures us, the main thing about the Salón de Otoño “is the discovery of the young values and the possibility that gives us our call to be visible before the specialized critic and public opinion in general, being a platform of discovery of new promises, spirit with which was born the Hall of Autumn and with which it endures today “.
The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors works in a line of innovative culture, that is to say, it does not look for a display of prizes that suppose an economic endowment, but an excellence that becomes a diffusion of the work and the artist, and that, as he confesses the President of the AEPE, José Gabriel Astudillo, does not endow the prizes financially, but rather be creative and channel the selected and awarded in the difficult path of artistic creation.
This is manifested in the way art is understood in a society, acquiring a commitment of support and new opportunities to those who can be seen through the Autumn Fair, enhancing their artistic project in a way that supports artists with resources in the that bets clearly and forcefully by his work.
The Autumn Fair is sponsored by the Maxam Foundation, which at the opening ceremony will also present the traditional calendar of the former Spanish Union of Explosives (UEE), and for which historical memories of posters such as that of Romero of Torres, Cecilio Plá or Manuel Benedito or the most modern of Canogar, Genovés, Eduardo Arroyo or Urculo.

Thanks to the special collaboration of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors with the CULTURAL ASSOCIATION MORE HISPANO, and given the success of last year, a series of Concerts of the Salon de Otoño, of Spanish music of the XII century to the XX, interpreted by the best musicians of the moment, that throughout the month November and in this House of Cows, they will put the soundtrack of this great celebration of the art that supposes the Hall of Autumn.
In this way the AEPE tries to emulate the first Autumn Salons, in which they were programmed all kinds of cultural activities and not only related to the world of Fine Arts.
For the first time in addition, and as a result of the collaboration between Down Madrid and the historic AEPE, the Medal of Painting Down Madrid will also be awarded to one of its artists, which is a clear example of inclusion of this group in the world of fine arts, so that the winner will see his work exhibited at Casa de Vacas along with the rest of professional and novice artists. A great opportunity to make visible a group with an extraordinary sensitivity.
