On April 3 took place the opening ceremony of the IV Hall of Abstract Art of the AEPE whose works are exhibited in the Exhibition Halls “Juana Francés” and “Pablo Serrano” of the District Board of Tetouan until the 29th of the same month , and in which a total of 50 works are exhibited, among more than a hundred of those presented to this contest organized by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.
The inauguration ceremony was chaired by the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, the Vice President of the entity, Juan Manuel López-Reina, and the Members Alicia Sánchez Carmona, as well as other members of the Board of Directors and the Councilor of Tetuán, Montserrat Galcerán, who did not want to miss this event.
At the opening ceremony, the jury minutes and the awards ceremony were read. On this occasion, the jury was chaired by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE and Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, Secretary General of the AEPE, acting as President and Secretary of the Jury, respectively, both with voice and without vote; and as members of the board of directors Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Paloma Casado, Fernando de Marta, Ana Martínez Córdoba and the painter and randomly chosen partner Helen Fernández.
According to José Gabriel Astudillo, President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, the interest of the Board of Directors that presides over supporting this Abstract Art Salon took two years ago to the creation of two awards, the José María López Painting Medal Mosque and the Angel Ferrant and Vázquez Sculpture Medal, both founding partners and outstanding artists who are honored in this way, as well as the Honorable Mentions that the Jury has deemed appropriate.
The work titled “OP 182411”, by Flórez de Uría, has been awarded with the José María López Mezquita Painting Medal,
while the work of Carmelo Esteban, whose title is “Maternidad”, has obtained the Ángel Ferrant Sculpture Medal and Vázquez.
In addition, the Jury has awarded two Honorable Mentions to the works of Felix Gala
and Manuel Hernández

The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors has convened the fourth edition of the Salon of Abstract Art which may attend all artists residing in Spain who wish.
Each author may attend the contest with as many original works as he wishes, the subject and technique being free, making abstract art a sign and symbol, both in its capacity to produce the most varied emotions and in representing the most incredible stimuli.
The contest includes the sections of painting (drawing, engraving and watercolor) and sculpture The minimum size will be 50 x 50 and the maximum of 150 x 150. Each work presented will bear the author’s name, address, title, technique employed and the measures.
The following prizes will be awarded: JOSE MARIA LOPEZ MEZQUITA PAINTING MEDAL, endowed with the Medal and Diploma of the AEPE, the ANGEL FERRANT AND VÁZQUEZ SCULPTURE MEDAL, endowed with AEPE Medal and Diploma and Distinct MENTIONS OF HONOR, endowed with a Diploma. The Qualification Jury may grant the Honorable Mentions that it deems appropriate. The jury, which will designate the award and order of the prizes, will select the works for the exhibition and will be able to resolve any eventuality not foreseen in the bases, will be made up of experts of recognized prestige.
The awarded and selected works will be exhibited in the month of April in the Sala Juana Francés and the Sala Pablo Serrano of the Junta de Tetuán, located in the
Calle Bravo Murillo, 357 in Madrid, and the awards ceremony will be held at the inauguration of the same, whose date will be properly reported.
The dates to be taken into account will be the following:
Photo submission: until March 15, 2019
Physical works presentation end: Tuesday, March 26, 2019
From May 6 to 10, 2019: withdrawal of works from headquarters

The Chambers Juana Francés and Pablo Serrano of the Municipal Board of Tetouan host from June 4 and until the next day 30, the third edition of the Salon of Abstract Art, for which a total of 40 works of more have been selected of the hundred presented to the contest organized by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, the General Secretary of the AEPE, various members of the Board of Directors, such as the Alicia Sánchez Carmona and the Treasurer Ana Martínez Córdoba and the Councilor of Tetouan, who did not want to miss this event.

On this occasion, the Jury was chaired by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE and Ana Martínez Córdoba, Treasurer of the AEPE, acting as President and Secretary of the Jury, respectively, both with voice and without vote and as Directors. Fernando de Marta Sebastián and Juan Manuel López-Reina, and the painter and partner chosen at random Simona Cheli.

The work entitled “Construcciones I”, by Erika Nolte, has been awarded with the José María López Mezquita Painting Medal, while the work of Martina Cantero, whose title is “Levantando el vuelo”, has obtained the Ángel Ferrant Sculpture Medal and Vázquez. In addition, the Jury has awarded three Honorable Mentions to the works of Jesús Pérez Hornero, Mena and Flor Verdú.
