The bases of Solo Art 2020 published

The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors has just published the rules that will govern the call for Solo Art 2020, which will be held from December 2 to 30, 2020, in the Spring Room of the Casa del Reloj Cultural Center, specifically for the occasion by the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, a call that is open to artists, whether or not they are members of the century-old entity.

The deadline for sending photographs ends on November 18, and with a free technique and theme, the minimum measurements will be 30 cm and the maximum will not exceed 70 cm.

Only Art is one more call with which the AEPE tries to be the reflection of artists today, giving visibility and representing their interests and concerns in artistic creation, offering it to society and the public as a way of understanding and disseminating art. of painting and sculpture.

Only Art pretends to also be a platform for experimentation, challenging the conventional in search of the new paths by which the most current art moves.

Inaugurated the exhibition “Solo Art” of the AEPE

On December 4, 2019, in the Spring Room of the Casa del Reloj Cultural Center of the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, the inauguration and awards ceremony of the “Solo Arte” contest, organized by the AEPE, took place and was consolidated in the exhibition calendar of the centennial entity, thanks to the high participation of the partners.
The event was chaired by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors and Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Paloma Casado, Carmen Bonilla Carrasco, Fernando de Marta y Ana Martínez Córdoba.


The exhibition, which can be visited until December 26, has had a total of 55 works between winners and selected, and has included two honorary awards: the Antonio Muñoz Degrain Painting Medal and the Julio Antonio Sculpture Medal, as deserved tribute to the founding masters of the centenary entity, in addition to three Honorable Mentions.


The jury in charge of performing the selection and qualification work has been formed by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE and Ana Martínez Córdoba, Treasurer of the AEPE, acting as President and Secretary of the Jury, respectively, both with voice and without vote; and as Members Alicia Sánchez Carmona, Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Fernando de Marta, Paloma Casado and Carmen Bonilla Carrasco, all of them executives of the AEPE and Paloma Ramírez-Montesinos, painter and partner of the AEPE chosen at random.
The awards ceremony was presented at the opening ceremony, which turned out to be the following:
