The bases of Solo Art 2020 published

The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors has just published the rules that will govern the call for Solo Art 2020, which will be held from December 2 to 30, 2020, in the Spring Room of the Casa del Reloj Cultural Center, specifically for the occasion by the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, a call that is open to artists, whether or not they are members of the century-old entity.

The deadline for sending photographs ends on November 18, and with a free technique and theme, the minimum measurements will be 30 cm and the maximum will not exceed 70 cm.

Only Art is one more call with which the AEPE tries to be the reflection of artists today, giving visibility and representing their interests and concerns in artistic creation, offering it to society and the public as a way of understanding and disseminating art. of painting and sculpture.

Only Art pretends to also be a platform for experimentation, challenging the conventional in search of the new paths by which the most current art moves.

Inaugurated the exhibition “Solo Art” of the AEPE

On December 4, 2019, in the Spring Room of the Casa del Reloj Cultural Center of the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, the inauguration and awards ceremony of the “Solo Arte” contest, organized by the AEPE, took place and was consolidated in the exhibition calendar of the centennial entity, thanks to the high participation of the partners.
The event was chaired by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors and Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Paloma Casado, Carmen Bonilla Carrasco, Fernando de Marta y Ana Martínez Córdoba.


The exhibition, which can be visited until December 26, has had a total of 55 works between winners and selected, and has included two honorary awards: the Antonio Muñoz Degrain Painting Medal and the Julio Antonio Sculpture Medal, as deserved tribute to the founding masters of the centenary entity, in addition to three Honorable Mentions.


The jury in charge of performing the selection and qualification work has been formed by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE and Ana Martínez Córdoba, Treasurer of the AEPE, acting as President and Secretary of the Jury, respectively, both with voice and without vote; and as Members Alicia Sánchez Carmona, Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Fernando de Marta, Paloma Casado and Carmen Bonilla Carrasco, all of them executives of the AEPE and Paloma Ramírez-Montesinos, painter and partner of the AEPE chosen at random.
The awards ceremony was presented at the opening ceremony, which turned out to be the following:

Wednesday opens “Just Art”

The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors summoned their partners and artists in general to participate in the second edition of the exhibition that under the title of “Solo Art”, will be inaugurated this Wednesday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m., in the Spring Room of the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, located on Paseo de la Chopera, 6-10 in Madrid, and which will be open to the public from December 3 to 26, 2019.

“Only Art” is another call with which the AEPE tries to be the reflection of artists today, giving visibility and representing their interests and concerns in artistic creation, offering it to society and the public as a way of understanding and disseminating The art of painting and sculpture.

“Solo Arte” also aims to be a platform for experimentation, challenging the conventional in search of the new paths by which the most current art moves.

The jury’s decision, awards ceremony and inauguration will be attended by the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, the Vice President of the entity, Juan Manuel López-Reina, the General Secretary, Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, the rest of the members of the Board of Directors, as well as partners and friends who want to share this moment.

Inauguration and awards ceremony of “Solo Arte”

On Tuesday, December 11th, the inauguration and delivery of prizes of the call that under the title of “Solo Arte” was carried out by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors took place and thus closes the 2018 exhibition year of the centenary entity.
The event was attended by many partners, friends and the general public, and the official opening of the exhibition was also carried out, although it is open to the public since last December 8th.
The inauguration and award ceremony was chaired by José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, who was accompanied by Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, General Secretary of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, Alicia Sánchez Carmona, Member of the Board, Fernando de Marta and Sebastián, Librarian of the AEPE, Ana Martínez Córdoba, Treasurer of the AEPE, Itziar Zabalza Murillo, Adviser to the President and numerous public, partners and friends.


The jury appointed for this occasion was composed of José Gabriel Astudillo López, President of the AEPE and Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, Secretary General of the AEPE, acting as President and Secretary of the Jury, respectively, both with voice and without vote; and as Members Alicia Sánchez Carmona, Carmen Bonilla Carrasco and Antonio Téllez de Peralta, all of them directors of the AEPE, and Luisa Jiménez Garrudo, painter and partner of the AEPE chosen at random.
The participation of this call has been very high and the quality of the work presented has also been at the level of initial expectations, presenting an exhibition that as a whole stands out for the excellent quality of the works, which denotes the desire to overcome the participants for making this call one of the great examples of the moment in the city of Madrid.


The President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo, wanted to thank the Madrid City Council, the District Board of Arganzuela and the Casa del Reloj Management for their interest in supporting the artists and highlights that the exhibition “It tries to be the reflection of artists today, giving visibility and representing their interests and concerns in artistic creation, offering it to society and the public as a way to understand and disseminate the art of painting and sculpture. “Solo Arte” pretends to be also a platform for experimentation, challenging the conventional in search of the new paths through which the most current art moves “.

“Solo Arte”, the new call of the AEPE

The Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors has just convened its members and artists in general to participate in the exhibition under the title of “Solo Art”, will be held in the Spring Room of the Municipal Board of Arganzuela, located on the Paseo de the Chopera, 6-10 of Madrid, from December 8 to 28, 2018, and which will be inaugurated on Tuesday, the 11th of the same month.

The call, open to any artist and especially to members of the centenary entity, includes the sections of painting, sculpture, drawing, engraving and watercolor, with the theme and technique free and with a maximum size of 65 cm. on any of its sides.

The works will be presented by email, as is usual, until next November 15,
