Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1984 from the University of Tama, Tokyo, continues his training at the Ljubljana Academy of Art and the University of Edinburgh. Corresponding academic of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts and Historical Sciences of Toledo.
Teruhiro Ando’s work has been awarded with important Spanish and foreign awards, among which the awards for the best exhibition of the Edinburgh Festival 1992 stand out; International painting of Alcazar de San Juan 2002 and 2010; BMW of Paint in 2008; of the International Exhibition of Valdepeñas in 2012; Focus-Abengoa of Seville in 2013; Madrid Fall Show 2014, and Manuel Ángeles Ortiz of the University of Jaén 2018.

His work is part of collections such as the National Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana, the National Library of Madrid, the Tomás y Valiente Art Center in Madrid, the Municipal Museum of Valdepeñas and the Infanta Elena de Tomelloso Contemporary Art Museum, the collections of the UNED, BMW, Focus, Wellington Foundations among others.

Last Friday, March 6, now open to the public, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of selected and awarded works of the 55 QUEEN SOFIA PAINTING AND SCULPTURE AWARD took place, a total of 72 works by 69 different artists, with 42 paintings and 30 sculptures, and that had a massive influx of public, artists and friends of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.

At the ceremony, the President of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors, José Gabriel Astudillo López, accompanied by the members of the Board of Directors: Mª Dolores Barreda Pérez, Secretary General of the AEPE, Alicia Sánchez Carmona, Antonio Téllez de Peralta, Paloma Married, Carmen Bonilla Carrasco, Fernando de Marta, Ana Martínez and Itziar Zabalza Murillo, presented the diplomas to the finalists attending.

It was a more informal act and in which everyone present could exchange impressions with artists and visitors, and for which everyone had a special thanks to the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.
